PSAT/NMSQT Testing

PSAT/NMSQT testing will be offered at Calhan High School on October 10, 2018 for interested juniors and seniors. This test is a great practice test for the upcoming SAT and has the potential of earning students national merit scholarships for college. The cost is $16. Tests are limited so please contact Ms. Taylor ASAP in counseling if you are interested or for more detailed information.

Homecoming Spirit Days: Tuesday October 2nd:Culture Day Wednesday October 3rd : Class Color Day -Seniors, 8th, 4th, Kindergarten-hot pink/ Juniors, 7th, 3rd- orange/ Sophomores, 6th grade, 2nd, PreK- neon green/ Freshmen, 5th, 1st- yellow Thursday October 4th : When I grow up day (profession dress up day) Friday October 5th: Red, White, and Blue Day *School dress code will be enforced! Homecoming Theme: Habitats of the World Saturday October 6th - Homecoming Parade is Saturday morning October 6th. The parade begins at 10am. Line up for the parade starts at 9am. Anyone interested in having a float or other entry in the 2018 Calhan Homecoming Parade, please contact Mrs. Newton at the high school via email: lauren.newton@calhanschool.orgĀ or phone (719) 347-2766 ext. 302. The deadline is Thursday, October 4th. The parade route is as follows: 1. Stage in the parking lot at EPCA on 8th street. 2. Leave from the west entrance of the parking lot. 3. Proceed east (right) on 8th St. to Colorado St. 4. Turn north (left) onto Colorado St. and proceed to 5th St. (Rt. 24) 5. Turn east (right) onto HWY 24. and proceed to Golden St. using the eastbound lane only. 6. Turn south (right) onto Golden St. and proceed 8th St. 7. Turn east (left) onto 8th St. and proceed to Bulldog Dr. 8. Turn south (right) onto Bulldog Dr. and proceed to 10th St. 9. Turn east (left) onto 10th St. 10. End at football field
